• What is the AFIMEGQ Programmne?
AFIMEGQ is a mobility programme of ten African Universities, coordinated by the University of Yaoundé I and funded by the EU
• Which is my home institution?
It is the institution where I am currently studying (for students) or serving (for staff)
• Which is my host institution?
It is the institution where the applicant is requesting for a registration
• Can the AFIMEGQ scholarship holders receive other scholarships from other African or European scholarship programmes?
The scholarship holders of AFIMEGQ are under rules and procedures established by the consortium. So each awardee is aware of his/her commitments.
• Can I be a AFIMEGQ scholarship holder twice?
The programme is at its start and can no longer speak about the second round rules and procedures as everything are guided by the rules of the EU and orientations of the consortium. You cannot benefit twice from it.

Eligibility

• Is the intra-European mobility flow eligible for the AFIMEGQ scholarship?
The programme involves only students of the ACP’s Universities. It goals is to train young ACP researchers and increase brain gain in ACP areas.
• Are the academic and administrative mobility flows from Europe to ACP countries eligible?
This programme is only for the ACP students and staff. It only includes those schooling or serving and leaving in the ACP areas.
• Are the mobility flows from the ACP countries to Europe under AFIMEGQ project?
No, it is an Intra ACP mobility programme among the members of the consortium that is between the ten Universities located in Africa as Target Group 1 (TG1) and other ACP countries as TG2
• I am a student from an eligible AFIMEGQ country but I do not belong to any institution of the Consortium. Can I still apply?
You can apply as a target group 2. All the students from the ACP countries can apply in AFIMEGQ
• I am an academic/administrative staff from an eligible AFIMEGQ ACP country but I do not belong to any institution of the Consortium. Can I still apply?
All the academics/staff from the ACP countries can apply in AFIMEGQ as the programme is seeking to build and reinforce the capacities of staff.
• Do I need to speak the teaching language of the host institution?
Speaking the most used language of the host institution may be an advantage for applicants. However, the programme and members of the consortium have made arrangement to teach the language to the holders in need.
• Which are the eligibility criteria?
Please, refer to the guideline of applicants displayed in the website
• Is there a minimum or maximum age in order to apply to the AFIMEGQ Project?
Actually, the consortium does not consider age as a criterium.

Application

• How will the applicants be selected?
Each university is in charge of the selection process for those coming to its programme following the regulation guiding the network.
• Can I send my application by mail, fax or e-mail?
Each applicant has to follow the online application process.
• I will finish my degree only after the deadline for applications. Can I still apply?
Yes, you can apply under the condition of the supply of your attestation of success once you complete your programme
• I am currently under an EU scholarship and I will be graduating very soon. Can I apply to AFIMEGQ?
Current or former holders of EU scholarship are not eligible in this programme.
• I have applied to other Intra ACP scholarships programme funded by the EU. Can I still apply to AFIMEGQ?
As you are not a scholarship holder of an EU scholarship opportunity, you can apply to AFIMEGQ programme
